The pedagogue and mentor Sophie Heinrich

Sophie Heinrich is a lecturer in violin and chamber music at theStella Voralberg Private College of Musicin Feldkirch and enjoys teaching master classes, chamber music and orchestral courses internationally.
Sophie Heinrich sees teaching and mentoring not least as encouraging young women in particular to have more courage and self-confidence, including in matters of leadership. For example, as part of the Academy of " Lead! - Developing the Next Generation of Leaders in Classical Music" in Finland, where she has been working since 2022 as Jukka-Pekka Saraste as a regularly invited international mentor.

In 2024, Sophie Heinrich took over the lead for the strings at the "Grafenegg Academy" in Austria.

I have had the pleasure of working with Sophie Heinrich on many occasions. As concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and violin mentor and concertmaster of the LEAD! Festival Orchestra, she has not only demonstrated excellent musical skills, but also the ability to get very positive results out of young musicians. Her fresh approach to teaching and mentoring, her understanding of how to develop the personality and confidence of young musicians is very valuable.
