Listening to the heart

A musical journey in times of change and transformation

In his sad and beautiful piece "Youkali", Kurt Weill longed for the unattainable land of our dreams. Weill had long since fled from Hitler and the Nazis from the sunken Berlin of the "Golden Twenties" to Paris. To the city of light that never slept and where exiles and artists met. The North American F. Scott Fitzgerald captured the feeling of the era in his novel "The Great Gatsby", while in Buenos Aires Carlos Gardell became a world tango star. Pain and pleasure - seeking, longing and hope pass by when Sona MacDonald, Sophie Heinrich and Miloš Todorovski evoke the "Roaring Twenties" on their musical and literary journey.
